Offshore asset protection is a racket I’ve been indirectly working in for the last several years.
What became immediately evident to me after some time is that a lot of the core concepts are in reality quite simple. However, the simplicity is wrapped in the complexity of international tax law, jursidictional legal issues, and the constantly shifting sands of the game between those that would protect their assets and those that would like to get to those same assets.
What was missing for me was a comprehensive no-nonsense approach to understanding the basic, core, foundational concepts upon which all the other (often complex) offshore asset protection strategies rested.
So, what can an ancient text teach us about offshore asset protection? As it turns out, plenty.
